Prima Group Partners with Gaia Energy to Help More Than 140 Residents across Merseyside Enjoy Warmer, More Affordable Homes
We’ve been appointed by leading North West housing provider Prima Group to deliver a £2.2 million energy efficiency upgrade programme under the government’s Warm Homes Social Housing Fund. Over two years, we’ll take a full turnkey approach across over 140 properties – from retrofit assessment and coordination to solar panel installations, heating and electrical system upgrades, loft insulation, ventilation and TrustMark registration, bringing every home up to at least EPC Band C.
Work is already under way on the project, which forms part of Prima Group’s long term commitment to sustainability, innovation and community investment. Together, we aim to improve comfort, wellbeing and affordability for residents, while reducing carbon emissions.
Steve Wharton, Executive Director of Homes and Communities at Prima Group, said: “This initiative represents a significant step forward in improving the energy performance of our existing homes. Working with Gaia Energy enables us to combine local delivery expertise with the technical capability required to meet our sustainability objectives. As well as contributing to a greener future, these essential upgrades will make a real difference to residents, who will benefit from warmer homes, lower energy bills and enhanced comfort.”
Steven Gallagher, Joint Managing Director of Gaia Energy, added: “We’re pleased to support Prima Group in delivering a targeted retrofit scheme that will provide measurable reductions in carbon emissions, warmer homes and long term savings on energy costs for residents. The project is being delivered end-to-end by Gaia Energy as a turnkey service, covering retrofit assessment, retrofit coordination and TrustMark certified installation, assuring full compliance throughout, with minimal disruption to residents.”
Prima Group owns and manages more than 2,700 homes across Liverpool City Region with a small number in North Wales. This retrofit programme reflects the housing association’s commitment to providing safe, energy efficient and affordable homes for residents.
